Cargill is supplier of oils and vegetable shortening for the food industry, Bakery industry and customers in the chemical industry. Industrially Cargill produces, processes and markets sunflower and soybean oil as well as soybeans, sunflowers and Palm oils bulks. These oils are marketed under the brand name Branca.
This product is used in the manufacturing of mayonnaises, dressings, potato chips, canned tuna, sardines and other seafood products. It is also used in the production of resins that are used for the paint industry.
This product is used for deep fried potatoes, plantains, snacks, donuts, among others. The main market is the snacks industry.

Shortenings and Margarines
Cargill´s shortenings are marketed under the brand name Tresco. They are produced from hydrogenated soybean and hydrogenated soy and palm oil, and they are referenced by a number indicating the product estimated melting point. Our shortenings are mainly used for the preparation of ice cream, cookies, bouillons, dried soups, and fast food and baking industries.
For bakeries, Tresco LT is the latest innovation in shortenings in Cargill Venezuela. It has a low content of 'trans fat', which is aligned with the healthy trend of the Venezuelan consumer.
Cargill also sells La Rendidora* margarine in bakeries, which is produced in the plant's food Berríos, C.A.
